Fall Holiday

The kids and I got to fly to Lubbock for a long weekend and we had a blast!! We di lots of fun stuff with Nana, Poppy, and Kody. We got to watch Kody play football, and lose the only game they lost this season, we went through our very first corn maze, and the Haunted Woods - a haunted house outside. The kids always love going to Nana and Poppy's!!

Halloween

We had many events over the Halloween weekend. The kids had their character parade at school. They had to have a book to carry in the parade with their character in it. Jase and Gia were both vampires so we used a bat book and a little vampire book. Worked out perfect. Then we had the Wings Over Houston the day of Halloween. The Blue Angels were there and it was awesome!! Well, Blue and I thought so. Jase fell asleep while the Angels were flying, and Gia was so tired she cried a lot. Oh well, maybe next time will be better. that same night we went trick or treating with some friends. A good time was had by all!! Here are some pics!

Our Next Journey

Well, the time has come to try surrogacy again.

Being married to such a giving man made the decision even easier. We are both on board - again. The last time we tried this it was unsuccessful for the Intended Parents. (IP) Another couple was matched with us and we are giving it another go.

They live in Texas, not too far from us. They are a wonderful couple and deserve biological child(ren). They have adopted 2 and decided to go for it and find a surrogate. To open your heart and home to adopted children is such a wonderful thing in itself. Now they are going to make a bigger family with our help!

Having 2 kids of our own, we know the joys, smiles, laughter, and hardships a child can bring. We figured why not? Someone else needs to experience this too!

Today was a bittersweet day for me. Both of my babies are now school-goers. Gia was so excited about starting Kindergarten. Jase is an old pro and is in the 2nd grade now. He just needed a little wave bye and that was good. No hug, no kiss, just a wave. I guess I better get used to that now. Gia was a little hesitant at first. She walked in behind me. She made me go first. It was pretty cute. Once she sat down she was fine, but I wasn't! I was good until I hugged her then all bets were off. Hopefully that was the last time I will cry. Here are a few pics to show our 1st day adventure!

Gia is 5!!

We went to the Grady's lake house for Gia's birthday/last vacation of summer. It was a total blast. Everyone decided Gia has the best birthday parties!! We had fresh gulf shrimp - that was a total hit!! We had fun on the boat and jet skis. There was fishing, playing, and birthday cake. I can't believe she is already 5 and will start Kindergarten soon. Jase is in 2nd grade now!! Where does the time go? Here are some pics of our trip. I'll add more when mom gets me her cd!!

Kody's baseball

We had a blast watching Kody play ball this summer. He was on the All-Star team and won the State Tournament! It was so exciting!!! that meant they got to go to Arkansas to the Southwest Regional Tournament. They got beat out there, but it was so fun to go and watch and cheer them on. The game below is the Levelland vs. Littlefield game they had to win to qualify for the SW Tournament. It was the most exciting game I have ever watched!! So glad I was there!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

We went to the parade in Friendswood that morning with some friends, then to a bbq, then to the park for fun festivities and fireworks!!! Great day!!!

Father's Day at the Beach

We decided to spend Father's Day at the beach with some friends. We had a blast and ate some really awesome food. Jase got to surf for the first time and was really excited about it. Gia and Blue joined in on the fun to. I don't venture out too far in the ocean. It creeps me out. Anyway, here are some pics to show our day!! The last pic was Jase taking a surfboard to the face.

First Camping Trip

We had our first camping trip last weekend. June 12-14. We used all the stuff we got for our wedding - 8 years ago!! We had used the tent before, but that was it. The kids had a blast and so did Blue and I. It was hot, but we just stayed at the pool or in the activities building. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is somewhere everyone should go try at least once!!

Jase is now 7!!!

We had a big party in the backyard. Rented a snow cone machine, had hot dogs and all the fixins. It was a blast. There were water guns and slip n' slides!! All the kids loved it!!

This is Blue's family. His brother Larry, wife Jessica, and their kids Bobby and Landree. His brother Ryder and his 2 boys Styer and Kamp. (missing his beautiful daughter Paige) His mom, "Mammy", and us. This was at Balmorhea.

Memorial Day Weekend

We drove to McCamey - about 8 hours - and we had a blast. The kids got to muttin bust. That means they rode sheep. They were the only kids that had on shorts and t-shorts!! The rest of them had the whole get up on - chaps, helmets, boots. Not my kids, we are tougher than that. HAHA!! It was hilarious after the fact I knew they were ok! Then we headed to Balmorhea. It is a really beautiful place with a huge natural spring swimming pool. If you are ever there you have to go. We also had a little birthday party for Jase so the family could celebrate as well. It was a good time for sure!!

City Champions!!

Jase's team won the City Championship game on Saturday. (5-16-09) It was so exciting!! They boys all did so well! We only lost one game all season. They were awarded 2 trophies at the end of the game. One was for being National League Champions and the other for City Champs. They were all so excited!! Our are proudly displayed on our tv in the living room - along with Gia's t-ball trophy. Can't forget about her winning record either!! HA!

Mine and Gia's Tea Party

Gia was in Cooking Camp in her Mother's Day Out program. She graduated as a Sous Chef and they celebrated by giving the moms a tea party. It was so sweet. She pulled my chair out for me, took my purse, and served me all my goodies!! Can't believe she's going to be starting Kindergarten soon!!
